Weak signals, tight races slow down official count

POOR telecommunication signals and unsettled local electoral battles especially in Visayas and Mindanao have affected the canvassing of votes in the senatorial race by the Commission on Elections (Comelec).

Only six out of 304 certificates of canvass have been tallied by the Comelec en banc, sitting as the National Board of Canvassers (NBOC), when session was suspended to 9 a.m. Wednesday.
